John RODDY may be the son of Alexander RODDY, Sr. & brother of William &
Joseph RODDY.

John Roddy served in the War of 1812 in Capt. Peter Lane's Regiment of PA Volunteers.
He enlisted to serve for 5 years on June 25, 1814 & served in various Companies of US Rifles;
discharged June 25, 1819 from Capt. Bennet Riley's Rifle Co. at Belle Foutaine.

1850 Census for Conemaugh Twp, Somerset Co, PA lists James Riffle and wife Catherine living with John Roddy (age 64) and wife Mary.
One Lewis Roddy (age 24) also living in same household.
