Henry Lear, an employee of the Lorain Steel Company, died at his home, No. 737 Park avenue, Moxham, at 11 o'clock this morning, after a few days' illness of pneumonia, in his fifty-fifth year. Mr. Lear had been bedfast since Sunday. The deceased, who was a brother of Mrs. James Forsythe, of No. 740 Park avenue, was born in Westmoreland County, this State, in April, 1856, and was married to Lucretia [Lucinda - ed.] Berkebile, who survives him, with the following children: Mrs. George Mostollar, of Mostollar; Mrs. Irvin Wilt, of Friedens; John, of Ferndale Borough; James, of the Eighth Ward, and Misses Carrie and Helen and Lawrence Lear, at home. He is also survived by several grandchildren. The Lear family has resided in Moxham since 1889. The funeral will take place on Monday afternoon, with interment in Grand-View Cemetery. Mr. Lear was a member of the Second Christian Church, Vestal Camp, Woodmen of the World, and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows." The Johnstown, PA "Tribune" issue of 14 May 1910, p. 10:.
